Justin Allgaier Dominates Nashville: JR Motorsports Star Wins Third Xfinity Race of 2025
Allgaier Sweeps Both Stages at the Tennessee Lottery 250, Fends Off Teammate Connor Zilisch in Final Laps
Justin Allgaier turned Nashville Superspeedway into his personal victory stage on Saturday night, putting on a clinic in the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series by winning the Tennessee Lottery 250. The JR Motorsports veteran pulled off a bold move from third on the final restart at Lap 140 and never looked back, capturing his third win of the season and sweeping both stages in the process.
Driving the No. 7 Hellmann’s Chevrolet, Allgaier led a dominant 101 of 188 laps, displaying the kind of speed and control that makes him a perennial Xfinity Series title threat.
“These guys right here — they deserve this one more than anything,” Allgaier said post-race, gesturing to his pit crew. “I screwed them over last week by making a pit call and had equally as good of a car, but this Hellmann’s Chevrolet was just absolutely on rails.”
🔥 Final Restart Magic: Allgaier Seizes the Moment
Allgaier’s race-winning move came after a restart on Lap 140, where he made an aggressive inside dive past teammate Connor Zilisch and Brandon Jones. Once in clean air, Allgaier was untouchable. Despite a late push from Zilisch, the No. 7 maintained the lead and crossed the finish line with authority.
Top 5 Finishers:
Justin Allgaier – JR Motorsports
Connor Zilisch – JR Motorsports
Sam Mayer - Haas Factory Team
Sheldon Creed - Haas Factory Team
Ross Chastain - JR Motorsports
🎯 Strong Runs and Tough Breaks
JR Motorsports wasn’t just dominant up front—its presence was felt across the field. Sam Mayer Haas Factory Team Driver was third and his team mate Sheldon Creed fourth followed by Ross Chastain, running double duty this weekend, rounded out the top five in an impressive showing. Other notable finishers in the top 10 included Aric Almirola, Austin Hill, Jesse Love, Daniel Dye, and Carson Kvapil.
Meanwhile, rookie William Sawalich’s nightmare season continued. After earning pole position and showing early speed in the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, Sawalich made contact with Sammy Smith exiting Turn 2 on Lap 135. The result? A spin down the backstretch and a disappointing 35th-place finish, completing only 163 laps.
🏆 A Statement Victory for Allgaier
Allgaier’s win at Nashville is more than just another trophy—it’s a statement to the rest of the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series field. With momentum on his side, a sharp crew behind him, and two teammates in Zilisch and Mayer also performing at a high level, JR Motorsports looks like the organization to beat.
